MAJOR STORM LAST NIGHT

Heavenly Mountain Resort had to open late this morning so they could dig the lifts out. I waited at Stagecoach with 200+ skiers and boarders this morning until they started loading the lift at 9:50am. It took at least an hour to track things out so you could get through the powder on any run that was not groomed. If the slope was not steep enough the 3+++ feet of powder brought you to a complete stop and you had to dig and hike out. As the day went on it got much easier to get down more runs as the powder got tracked out.

Heavenly says 68 to 92 inches have come down in the last 7 days.
This snow should get us through the end of April. Obviously, more fresh powder would be killer.
