I was able to mountain bike the Flume Trail yesterday. If you have not done this yet it is a must. I started at Spooner Lake with the immediate 4 mile climb (Spooner is at 7000' and the climb goes to 8157' in only 1100' of distance). After you accomplish the climb the next 9 miles or so is mostly downhill. You can ride to the end and back, park a car at both ends or take the shuttle back to Spooner from the end of the Flume Trail. Marlette Lake can be found at the top of the big climb about 4 miles in from Spooner at 7823'.
