***FIRE BREAK IS FOR EXPERTS ONLY***

I was lucky enough to ski the fresh powder on Fire Break yesterday. Fire Break is a backcountry run on the Lake Tahoe side of Heavenly Mountain Resort. You access this run through a backcountry gate off of the Olympic Express Chair. This run has the best views of Lake Tahoe, very few people and the best powder on the mountain. I got so caught up in the fresh snow I ended up going too far to the right and had to cross a small river to get back. Follow the other tracks you see and stay skier left. You will punch out on the street behind the casinos. Walk to the Gondola and do it all over again.
