Get ready to hit the links as South Shore Golf Courses get the season off to a great start. Lake Tahoe Golf Course already has the putting green and driving range open to the public and plans on opening its 18-hole course on April 25. Bijou Municipal Course has set May 1 as their opening date, while Edgewood Tahoe (Stateline), home of the American Century Championship, is planning on opening its 18-hole course on May 7. The first week in May also hopes to see Tahoe Paradise Golf Course in Meyers open the front nine, weather permitting. Hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail, mountain biking the Flume Trail or just cruising along one of Tahoe's great beaches, are all excellent ways to get warmed up for walking the links. So get out of the casinos and go golfing.
