Taylor Creek Visitor Center and Stream Profile Chamber

Now is the time of year to go visit the Taylor Creek Visitor Center for the annual spawning run of the Kokanee Salmon. It is located 15-20 minutes from the Casinos in South Lake Tahoe. The trails around Taylor Creek are level and a very easy walk.

As you can see from the pictures it is very easy to get close to the fish. This is a great experience for children and adults. If you are lucky you may even see a bear in Taylor Creek looking for lunch.

In the Stream Profile Chamber there are large pieces of glass that allow you to stand at eye level with the river so you can view everything going on under the water. Another great experience for children and adults.
